GRADES 5TH - 8TH: week 1
Learn all the cool tips and tricks to taking great photos and digital editing in this specialty camp for budding photographers! Get hands on practice with our camp Nikons, learning settings and composition, explore our scenic area on and off campus, and build your own portfolio- all guided by our experts on staff.
Lip Sync Tech Booth
grades 5th - 10th (up to 15 years old): week 8
Calling all emerging theater techies! Summer Fenn caps off its season with an epic lip sync performance on the stage of Ward Hall, and you could be in the tech booth running the lights, sound and action. Learn from our experienced theater tech team in a state-of-the-art performance hall, working with camp groups to make their lip sync performance the best camp has ever seen!
My first lemonade stand
grades 2nd - 3rd: weeks 4 and 8
Our youngest entrepreneurs dive into every aspect of building a new business- from developing the best product recipe, to designing marketing posters and material, to counting and estimating costs/sales, to working as a team to learn about and then deliver a great customer experience. Campers launch their lemonade stand for the whole camp, and profits go to a local charity. Presented by Spark Business Academy, our awesome partner in financial literacy programming!

*Grades 5th - 8th: week 1
Grades 7th - 10th (up to 15 years old): weeks 2 and 4
Lights, camera, action! Explore the fundamentals of video production in this Summer Fenn favorite! Campers will work together to write, storyboard and act in their own movie while learning the basics of camera work and editing. Their week concludes with a screening for all of camp.
*This camp (5th-8th only) has extended specialty program time in its day and fewer electives.
DRAMA
*TWO WEEK SESSION
GRADES 5TH - 10TH (up to 15 years old): weeks 5-6
If your budding thespian is looking for a place to shine, we have the perfect program! Campers in the two-week Drama program will gain valuable experience in auditioning, monologues, ensemble acting, improv, and of course will be cast in a full scale production!
*This camp has extended specialty program time in its schedule with fewer electives.
No formal theater/performance experience is necessary and we encourage ALL levels of acting competency. A strong interest is required and everyday skills compatible with the expectations of sustained focus and age-appropriate autonomy.
Music video mayhem
grades 4th - 7th: week 3
Calling all rockstars, dancers, and music enthusiasts to write, direct, collaborate and star in their own music video here at camp. Campers will choose a (camp appropriate) song, collaborate with other campers, choreograph and interpret their own vision for a lip-synced music video of their own. Clips will be shown in the Friday assembly in Ward Hall to celebrate and enjoy camper projects.
SETTING THE STAGE
GRADES 5TH-10TH (UP TO 15 YEARS OLD): WEEK 4
Calling all crafters, builders, artists and makers for this unique theater design specialty that will directly support the Drama Camp performance at Summer Fenn. In advance of the stage performance, we’ll “set the stage” by creating and crafting props, designing and building set pieces, and even constructing and sewing costume components. Campers will have both individual projects and collaborative work that will be showcased in the upcoming, full-scale production.
